Welcome

2015 Vision is about reinvigorating Lincoln, for the benefit of current and future citizens. Community-wide job growth is the base engine that can spur further community development and statewide growth. It’s critical in attracting the next generation, which craves a progressive community thriving on a foundation of Midwestern values.

We have the opportunity to lead this vision into action, to impact the community for generations to come and to leave a legacy of opportunity for others—just as those from generations past created opportunities for us.

Imagine the possibilities

Momentum has been created. Now is the time to ask: can we envision the future? Can we engage the resources to bring that vision to life? Can we truly enrich our community for new generations?

  • These ideas are exactly what Lincoln needs to become a vibrant, exciting city which will attract new companies and spur economic development. These ideas will help to make Lincoln a more attractive place for young people.I am particularly excited about a new arena and the retail corridor. A new arena could give us the opportunity to attract events similar to some that are going to the Qwest Center. Some musical artists prefer to play college towns. Madison, Boulder, and Burlington, Vermont all have charming pedestrian areas with shops and restaurants. It is the perfect type of area to have next to campus.
